Work with your patients on CRSwNP treatment options

Treating Chronic Rhinosinusitis with Nasal Polyps (CRSwNP) can be complicated, and it may be challenging for patients to decide on a treatment option. The College’s newCRSwNP Toolkitprovides answers to commonly asked questions, and provides resources that allergists can use with patients to aid treatment decision-making.

The toolkit is designed for patients who are seeking treatment for the first time, as well as for those who have had sinus surgery for nasal polyps and the polyps have returned. Resources for allergists and patients include:

Aninteractive shared decision-making tool for patientsthat gives an overview of risks and benefits of medication and therapies for nasal polyps and information on biologics. Patients answer questions on their current symptoms, treatments, cost of therapies and more. Patients can complete the interactive tool and share results with their allergists.

Aninstructional videothat walks allergists through the shared decision-making process and gives tips on how to discuss treatment options so patients can make a decision that is a good fit for their values and concerns.

The CRSwNP Toolkit is supported by Sanofi and Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
